I did DMT in a bad mental state and think I saw a demon, I'm not sure what this could mean

09/01/2026, 18:53I'm 19m. So yesterday I had taken DMT and had a pretty nice experience. I felt like i was in this childlike world almost, and whatever was guiding me took me into a world full of colors with a feeling of innocence applied to it. Later that same day, I broke up with my girlfriend due to her being manipulative, threatening me not to leave them for a few months now, and not taking my substance addictions seriously. Today, I was upset and took some benzos to deal with the anxiety and make myself not think. For whatever reason, I decided to do DMT again today. I met this red demon, I'm not sure what or who it was. It felt like it wasn't welcoming me there. Like I wasn't supposed to be there. Like I was making a mistake doing the DMT at all. Even though i was on benzos, I almost had an anxiety attack because of my trip. It gave me way more anxiety than my trip yesterday. I felt really afraid and like I was messing with something I shouldn't be. Is it because of the benzos I took? Is it because I tried doing DMT two days in a row? Is it because of me going through a breakup and addiction to other substances? Why would I see demons, and why were they not welcoming? Was I putting myself somewhere I shouldn't go? Have other people had similar DMT experiences?
